Associate Dean Continues Presenting Music Workshops

Dr. Lynn Brinckmeyer’s webinar: Kids, Choir and Drums

Despite the pandemic, Dr. Lynn Brinckmeyer has continued her work with educators, choral professionals, and music students across the country.

Since June, Dr. Brinckmeyer has presented five webinars on music advocacy for professional associations: The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). She has also presented six clinics for state music education associations, peer university clinics, and world music drumming workshops.

Later this month Dr. Brinckmeyer will be speaking about music advocacy with music education students at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. She is scheduled to present five virtual workshops for the Northwest Division of NAfME in February 2021.

Dr. Brinckmeyer served as the Assistant Director of the School of Music from Fall 2012-Spring 2016, as Associate Director of the School of Music from Spring 2016-Fall 2020, and now serves as Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Research for the College of Fine Arts and Communication.
