This spring the Texas State choral program hosted two nationally recognized composers on campus: Mr. Mark Hayes and Mr. Timothy Takach. Both presented information about the professional world of choral music and composing ideas with the choral literature class.
Mr. Hayes shared two of his own compositions and presented a clinic with both the Men’s Choir and the Women’s Choir on his compositions. Mr. Hayes’ songs will be performed on the Men’s and Women’s Choir concert next month.
Mr. Takach, who is known for his new music compositions, is also a professional singer. He presented clinics with the Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir, University Singers and Chorale during his visit.
