Dr. Nico Schüler recently published a book chapter on “Contextuality and Interdisciplinarity in Digital Music Research: History, Current Projects, and A Case Study” in the book Contextuality of Musicology – What, How, Why and Because (ed. by T. Popović Mladjenović, et al., Belgrade, 2020). He also published articles on Conjunto and on Pansori in Music Around the World (ed. by A. R. Martin and M. Mihalka, ABC-CLIO, 2020). Dr. Schüler was invited to teach two workshops on computer-assisted analysis of expressive timing in music at the 2020 international conference by the International Society for Music Information Retrieval (ISMIR). He also presented two papers at the international conference by the 2020 German Society for Music Theory and one paper at the Fall 2020 Conference by the American Musicological Society Southwest Chapter.
