Texas State University Senior William Phi has been selected as the recipient for the Rosaura Garcia Gonzales ’52 Endowed Scholarship, to be awarded in the spring 2021 semester!
The Rosaura Garcia Gonzales ’52 Endowed Scholarship was established to assist first-generation college students at Texas State majoring in Music. To qualify, students must have completed over 30 semester credit hours and maintained an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. The origins of the scholarship come from an endowment by the namesake who is the mother of our very own Associate Professor and Regents’ Teacher Dr. Cynthia I. Gonzales.
William Phi is a Music Studies major studying flute under Dr. Adah Toland Jones and voice under Myra Vassian and a member of the Theta Alpha chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity, and the Epsilon Tau chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda, National Music Honor Society.
Congratulations William! We are proud of you and all your hard work and accomplishments!
