Associate Professor Produces & Performs in Quarantine Commission

Hank Hehmsoth

Texas State School of Music Associate Professor of Practice Hank Hehmsoth released a commissioned production of “Basement Panorama”, a quarantine video, performed entirely remotely by John Mills TIMES TEN, the award winning ten piece jazz group in Austin, Tx. Hank is both video editor, and performing pianist in the video. “Basement Panorama” is a new composition by ex TXST jazz faculty coordinator Dr. John Mills, and is released internationally by Fable Records.

Hank says, “This entire recording was done remotely in band members individual homes with no rehearsals! Videos were done on iPhones and edited by me. This video is in honor all of our musician friends who, like us, are trying to figure out how to make music in their basements or home studios while we’re all feeling isolated.”
