Recent TXST graduates Eloy Ramirez and Jett Walker have been accepted into doctoral programs!
Eloy studied bassoon and graduated from TXST in 2018 with an undergraduate degree in Music Studies. Since graduating, he has been working to complete a Master of Music in Historical Musicology at the University of Arizona. Eloy has now been accepted into Harvard for Musicology.
Jett will be completing his Master of Music in Trombone Performance at Texas State University this semester. Jett completed his undergraduate degree in 2013 from TXST in Music Studies. He has been accepted in the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music for Trombone Performance. In addition to Cincinnati, Jett was accepted into and offered assistantships at the Eastman School of Music, University of Miami, University of Colorado, Arizona State University, and the University of North Texas.
