Dr. Rebecca M. Doran Eaton presented a paper, “Musical Metamorphosis: Breaking the Fourth Wall Through Diegeticizing and Metacaesura,” at the 11th annual Music and the Moving Image Conference in New York City May 27, 2016. The conference draws a range of scholars from all over the world, including musicologists, music cognition specialists, and music theorists who focus on film, television, and video games. Eaton’s research was featured beyond her own talk, as several other scholars cited her prior scholarship on minimalist film music in their own presentations.
