Music Educator writes book, travels to West Virginia and Michigan

During her Spring faculty development leave, amongst other activities, Dr. Lynn Brinckmeyer served as conductor for the West Virginia Elementary All-State Choir in Wheeling, March 19-21. She also served as Adjudicator for the Michigan State Vocal Music Association, near Detroit,  April 22-23.

Her main leave project, a book draft, Wander the World with Warm-ups, is now under contract with Hal Leonard Publishing Company for publication in March, 2015.

Clarinetist judges Plovdiv in Bulgaria

October 1-5, Dr. Vanguel Tangarov served as an adjudicator for the 2014 Plovdiv International Chamber Music Competition in Bulgaria. There were 65 candidates from 11 countries admitted to participate to the live auditions after a long preliminary selection process with live recordings.
At the Opening Gala Ceremony/Recital Tangarov performed  Bartok’s Contrasts with world-class musicians Elmira Darvarova – violin, former Concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and Bojidar Noev – piano, former Head of the Piano Department of Innsbruck, Austria.
